Job Search Workshop

The Job Search Workshop is designed for women who know what kind of work they are looking for and have the skills necessary for that field of work.

During this four-morning workshop, participants will learn how to:

• Look for work using systematic job search strategies
• Access information and research potential employers
• Cope with the stress of looking for work
• Develop a network and gain potential contacts for employment
• Create a voice mail or telephone script
• Write effective, targeted cover letters and resumes
• Handle challenging interview questions

What you need to know:

• All of our services are free of charge.
• The Job Search Workshop meets on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., all within one week.
• Individual counselling is offered as a follow-up service to this workshop.
• Pre-registration is required.

Who is eligible:

• This service is open to women who are unemployed or working less than an average of 20 hours per week.
